Festivals on the horizon

A pair of brew festivals are coming to the Bay State in April, boasting both local and national offerings.

The second annual Brew Woo festival will take place at the DCU Center’s Convention Center Saturday, April 7 with a pair of three-hour sessions (2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.). While breweries have yet to be announced, expect somewhere near 30 local and craft brew companies, as well as live music and a Bar-BREW-Que section with food.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door and include a souvenir glass. Tickets are available at the DCU Center box office, through Ticketmaster outlets and online at ticketmaster.com.

The 12th Annual Boston Beer Summit takes place with three sessions over two days (Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21) at Boston’s Park Plaza Castle.

The event has already confirmed 66 participating breweries with more expected before all is said and done. Tickets are $42.50 and include a tasting glass and all the samples one could want (within reason).

For a list of confirmed breweries and more information, head over to the Beer Summit’s Web site.
