It may not seem it — especially with the strange weather we’ve seen this year — but summer is just around the corner. Well, in theory at least.
Many craft breweries produce outstanding seasonal beers, with summer beers among the most popular.
Do you have a favorite? If so, what is it? If not, what’s your go-to summer drink of choice? Do you ignore seasonal norms completely and continue drinking stouts during the heated days of June, July and August?
For me, Dogfish Head Namaste is one of my first choices. DFH’s Belgian-style white is light and crisp, with refreshing citrus notes.
I’m also a fan of Samuel Adams Blackberry Witbier. Another light, refreshing beer that goes down easily and is great for a day by the pool. And Harpoon’s Summer Ale is another that I find myself revisiting.
