Review: Troegs Dream Weaver

A fussy beer drinker in warmer weather, I’m constantly looking for something that has a flavor other than lemon and won’t sit in my stomach like a stout during the summer months. Luckily, I’ve been fortunate to come across a few brews this year that satisfy that craving.

Troegs Dream Weaver definitely fits that mold.

A well-crafted hefeweizen, the Dream Weaver is great for a day by the pool or at the beach. Heck, this unfiltered offering is good in just about any situation where liquid refreshment is necessary.

A golden, hazy beer with a spicy Belgian nose, the Dream Weaver is definitely refreshing on a scorching day. There’s little to no hop bitterness and a yeasty sweetness that melds with a refreshing grassy, wheat flavor.

After sitting on the tongue, I experienced a definite banana flavor that comes through and balances with a clove-ish note.

At 4.8% ABV, this is a beverage that goes down smooth and will keep those seeking refreshment and solace from the heat coming back for more.
